Private Workshops

Some experiences are simply better shared.

Our private group workshops at The Woods Daylesford are designed for friends, families, creative collectives and thoughtful businesses looking for something genuinely different. Whether you’re gathering a group of friends for a weekend away, a special occasion, or planning an alternative team-building experience free from boardrooms and buzzwords, these workshops offer space to slow down, make with your hands, and reconnect.

Groups are invited to choose the style of workshop that best suits them — from food-led experiences and intimate dessert making, to craft, creative styling and hands-on making. Each workshop is carefully shaped around the group, allowing the experience to feel personal, relaxed and unhurried.

Set in our quietly beautiful studio, every workshop is led with care and intention — immersive, nourishing and thoughtfully paced. No prior experience is required, just a willingness to arrive, breathe out, and take part. Conversation flows naturally, creativity unfolds gently, and time seems to soften around the edges.

For businesses and organisations, these workshops offer a meaningful way to bring teams together — encouraging collaboration, fresh thinking and connection in an environment that feels restorative rather than performative. For friends, they become a shared moment to savour — layered with beauty, learning and a touch of wonder.

Private group bookings are available by arrangement and can be tailored to suit your group, preferred workshop and timing, with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 8 participants.

So, if you’re seeking an experience that feels considered, generous and quietly joyful — we’d love to welcome you to The Woods.

Relaxed, generous and deeply satisfying, this workshop is about the pleasure of baking, sharing knowledge and creating something beautiful with your own hands.

Drawing from a lush selection of botanicals, fruits, vegetables and thoughtfully chosen props, this workshop celebrates texture, colour and the layered richness of everyday life.

Through guided styling, balance, colour and composition, you’ll discover how small details can transform a plate — turning food into a visual story as well as a delicious one.

You will have the opportunity to create a masterpiece for yourself, as you’re guided through the techniques, the principles, the reasons and the rationale behind still life.

Join us on a journey through the intricacies and idiosyncrasies of this modern art form, garnered from over 30 years experience in the photographic industry.
