Away with the Faeries

Chapter One:
A Creative Workshop for Parent & Child.
Sunday 24 May — 10am-2pm

$395.00 for parent and one child, plus $95.00 for each additional child. Please note: Each child (7+years) must be accompanied by their own parent.

Because the nature of this workshop and the variables of child numbers doesn’t fit the neat boxes of online booking technology, expressions of interest are being handled via email. Confirmation of the workshop proceeding will be provided once we reach the required number of attendees. The Faerie Workshops are a creative series exploring the magic, mythology and quiet wonder of the faerie world. Designed to encourage imagination, making and storytelling, each workshop offers a different way to engage — from gentle beginnings through to more intricate faerie creations.

In this workshop we have designed a gentle, imaginative day designed for beginners (children aged seven years and above) and a parent.

Each participant will receive a curated kit of faerie doors and windows, ready to be artfully decorated and brought to life. Together, we’ll also learn how to create a simple faerie ladder using small sticks and branches gathered here at The Woods, connecting our handmade pieces back to the natural world around us.

Once complete, your faerie architecture can be taken home to adorn a favourite tree or garden nook — a small, whimsical addition that continues the story long after the day has ended.

To set the scene, faerie doors and windows will already be tucked amongst the trees at The Woods, inviting discovery and quiet delight as we wander the grounds. This workshop is about slowing down, noticing small details and sharing a moment of creativity — whether as a child, a grownup, or side by side as parent and child.
