For most of my working life I styled food for magazines and brands — creating images designed to tempt and delight.
But baking at home has always been something quieter. More personal. Something I do for the people I love.
It’s a Piece of Cake was born from that feeling.
On April 26 I’ll be hosting this hands-on mini dessert workshop at The Woods Daylesford, sharing four of my favourite little showstoppers — recipes that look impressive, yet are beautifully simple to recreate.
Each dessert can be made gluten-free or with traditional ingredients, so you can bake in the way that suits you best. You’ll make your own individual mini desserts from start to finish as we build, layer, pipe and finish together.
Along the way, I’ll share the subtle techniques and presentation details I’ve learned over decades — the small touches that elevate something simple into something truly special.
This day is relaxed, generous and confidence-building. It’s about rediscovering the pleasure of baking and the quiet joy of placing something handmade on the table.
Join us on April 26. Places are limited and kept intentionally small.
